We're seeking a passionate and dynamic Project Manager to join our Competition in Connections team on a 12-month FTC.
In this role, you'll play a key part in delivering a range of projects, working closely with customers and delivery partners to make sure everything runs smoothly, stays on track, and comes in on budget.
Competition in Connections was created to give customers more freedom in choosing who handles parts of their electrical connections. Whether it’s a Distribution Network Operator (DNO), Independent Connection Provider (ICP), or Independent Distribution Network Operator (IDNO), we aim to give customers the freedom to select the best provider for their needs.
You’ll be overseeing important connection points for the ICP/IDNO and managing any upgrades needed to help strengthen and improve the existing network.
We’re looking for someone who’s detail-oriented, thrives in tracking project progress, and ensures everything is accurate every step of the way. If you're ready to make an impact and help shape the future of electrical connections, we’d love to have you on the team!
Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
Review project plans, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with cross functional teams.
Maintain clear, proactive communication with customers and stakeholders, providing regular project updates and addressing any issues that may impact delivery.
Manage project budgets by tracking costs and recuperate relevant costs from customers to ensure that they remain within budget, avoiding overspends.
Ensure that all projects comply with relevant industry regulations, standards and legal requirements.
What do I need?
We would also love for you to have the following skills, and experience:
Knowledge of electricity networks up to 11kVA, with experience in electric supply/distribution or other utilities is highly desirable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages. Experience with PROMIS, GIS, and Power On systems would be advantageous but not essential.
Experience in a customer driven environment with excellent customer service skills.
Familiarity with NEC contracts and working with framework partners would be advantageous.
Strong technical, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage stakeholders.
It is an essential requirement for this role that you have a full, current driving licence.
