Salary: £30,600– £46,000 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role

The Digital Content Executive supports SSE’s objectives by creating high-quality digital content and delivering effective social media activity across SSE’s corporate channels. The role combines hands-on content creation with platform-specific execution, helping to increase audience engagement, strengthen SSE’s digital presence and ensure content performs effectively across social platforms. The role plays a key part in translating corporate priorities, campaigns and stories into engaging, platform-appropriate digital content for external audiences.

You will

- Create digital content: Produce high-quality digital content for SSE’s external corporate channels, including written, visual and short-form video content. Ensure outputs are engaging, accurate and aligned with agreed priorities, brand guidelines and corporate messaging.

- Deliver social media activity: Support the day-to-day delivery of SSE’s corporate social media activity by publishing content in line with agreed plans and schedules. Ensure posts are optimised for each platform to maximise reach, engagement and relevance to target audiences.

- Support content planning and campaign delivery: Support the delivery of social media plans and content calendars. Contribute ideas, formats and executions that help bring corporate campaigns and priorities to life across digital channels.

- Optimise content performance: Monitor and review the performance of social media content, using insight and data to inform improvements, recommending approaches to support continuous improvement in content effectiveness and engagement.

- Ensure brand consistency and accessibility: Ensure all content is consistent with SSE’s brand voice, tone and visual identity; is inclusive and follows accessibility best practice across digital platforms.

You have

- Creative and strategic approach to digital content and social media.

- Platform expertise, including demonstrable corporate experience of LinkedIn and YouTube.

- Content creation using Adobe and/or Apple content creation tools.

- Strong copywriting skills to create compelling content and maintain a consistent brand tone of voice.

- Proficient in using analytics tools to measure and interpret activity.
