The role

As a Health & Safety Advisor within our Onshore Wind, Solar & Battery team, you’ll play a key role in delivering some of the UK’s most significant renewable energy projects—safely, responsibly, and sustainably.

This is more than a compliance role. You’ll be a visible on-site, championing a proactive safety culture, influencing behaviours, and ensuring that safety is embedded into everything we do—from early development through to construction delivery.

You Will

  • Provide visible, hands-on safety leadership on-site, supporting project teams to deliver construction activities safely while protecting people, assets and the environment
  • Collaborate with teams and contractors to develop and continuously improve risk assessments, control measures and incident investigations, driving high standards and learning across projects
  • Carry out health and safety audits and due diligence assessments, ensuring contractors and partner organisations consistently meet and exceed expectations
  • Champion and embed a strong, positive safety culture, delivering behavioural safety initiatives in a clear, engaging and consistent way
  • Build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels, influencing decisions and balancing safety, operational delivery and project timelines in a fast-paced environment

You Have

  • A recognised qualification in Occupational Health & Safety (e.g. NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent), or relevant experience in a safety-focused role
  • Membership of IOSH (or equivalent), or a willingness to work towards this
  • Experience in construction, renewables, offshore wind, or another high-hazard industry, with transferable skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage a wide range of stakeholders
  • The flexibility to travel to site locations, including occasional offshore visits, and thrive in a dynamic, site-based environment
