About the Role
Base Location: Portsmouth
Salary: £33,063 - £38,404 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Project Co-ordinator who will be responsible for ensuring that project systems are updated in a timely, complete and accurate manner and tracking progress of projects.
The role will support the Project Managers to coordinate and support administration for delivery activities. The Project Coordinators act as a central point of contact for the Project Managers and delivery teams for administration, showcasing a proactive nature and demonstrate flexibility in responding to the needs of the team. The role will focus strongly on system, finance and governance administration and will be required to liaise with delivery areas to ensure that appropriate and accurate information is submitted to support broader reporting activities.
Key Accountabilities
Roles and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Provision of support across the delivery lifecycle in relation to managing financial control of a project (e.g. raising purchase orders and processing accruals).
- Coordinate governance processes through arranging meetings, taking minutes and tracking actions.
- Ensure day-to-day support activities for project-level and programme-level core functions including collation of project updates, supporting formulation of inputs and consolidation of outputs.
- General support for delivery teams including PPE requirements, training / learning needs, ad-hoc support across meetings over the lifecycle of project / programme delivery.
- Provision of support across the delivery lifecycle in relation to managing appropriate systems supporting the execution of delivery.
- Collaborate with the wider Large Capital Delivery directorate to ensure an efficient service is provided to stakeholders.
What do I need?
We are looking for someone who has experience of Project Co-ordination or a willingness to learn. A background in a Large Capital Projects environment would be advantageous, though this is not essential.
- Knowledge of Project Control Systems and processes.
- Proficient with Excel and the ability to manipulate and interrogate data.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships.
- Focus on continuous improvement, striving to improve the quality of Project Controls processes as an aid to project management.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines.
