Base Location: Perth

The role
We are excited to offer a role reporting to the Procurement & Commercial Performance and Compliance Manager. You will be responsible for supporting performance and compliance activities for the SSEN Transmission Procurement and Commercial function.
The function consists of over 100 procurement and commercial staff providing estimating, procurement and commercial management activities for a large portfolio of supply, construction and repair and maintenance contracts which support the delivery of the Transmission Business' £20B+ project portfolio.
You will
- Support the Performance and Compliance Manager in a variety of team management and administrative activities including organising team events, team meetings, booking travel, training needs analysis etc.
- You will support audits and compliance reviews, collating and organising data for input to reports on the function's compliance with internal policies and procedures. You will also administer the commercial securities register and any other tracking and administration of commercial documents/information as required.
- Support the function in understanding its obligations under the compliance governance framework, providing ad-hoc or structured guidance as required.
- You will monitor performance against the delivery of departmental KPIs and objectives such as savings in total cost of ownership, sourcing cycle times and spend under management.
- Help to drive improvements in the performance of the function, in doing so will be required to work with others across the function, the wider Procurement and Commercial team, Risk, Assurance, Legal etc.
- Help to identify key emerging procurement and commercial issues and support the Procurement & Commercial Performance and Compliance Manager in undertaking impact analysis and development of mitigation measures.
You have
- Good knowledge of procurement and assurance policy and procedures (internal and / or external).
- Ability to secure commitment on actions from stakeholders and horizon scan.
- Ability to solve problems, develop new and innovative ways to overcome issues.
- Excellent organisation and planning skills, ability to work to deadlines, dealing with changing priorities whilst managing own time effectively.
- Excellent experience in the use of O365 applications with ability to collate, analyse and summarise information.
