About the Role
Base Location: Glasgow or Perth
Salary: £40,600 - £61,000 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing, and family.
Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available
Our Distribution businesses are subject to oversight by the industry regulator, Ofgem and must adhere to five-year price control periods. In this role you will learn how the business operates and the nature of our regulatory obligations under our RIIO price controls.
You will be responsible for long-term forecasting and regulatory reporting to Ofgem and will be vital in the decision-making process by providing robust financial information to stakeholders. The main responsibilities of the role will be to:
- Support the Long-Term financial forecasting process: - collation of data from the business, analyse and challenge its validity and convey key messages to stakeholders in order to drive business decisions.
- Support the finance and regulatory teams with submissions to Ofgem, collating information from the business and ensuring reporting accuracy.
- Drive reporting efficiencies through model creation; ownership of system mapping and alignment of costs to Ofgem reporting guidance.
- Be a point of contact for the business to interpret Ofgem guidance and make recommendations on treatment of cost reporting.
- Provide regulatory finance support for the RIIO-2 and RIIO-3 price controls for Distribution.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to:
- Be proficient in MS Office applications with an advanced knowledge of Excel and be highly numerate with strong analytical skills.
- Be able to draw conclusions from financial information and make recommendations.
- Be confident and articulate with the willingness to challenge and support colleagues and the business in a constructive manner.
- Have an appropriate accounting qualification (ICAS, ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW or CIPFA) in an equivalent role.
