Salary: SS05 £38,966 to £45,905 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role

Working as a key member of the Renewables Hydro Asset Management Programmes team, you’ll support the successful delivery of Large Capital Projects by managing design and technical documentation throughout each project’s lifecycle. This includes overseeing document reviews, coordinating drawings and processes, and ensuring all project materials remain accurate, up to date, and compliant.

As projects move toward completion, you’ll lead with the updating of systems with the latest documentation and ensuring all Health & Safety file data is captured and organised using established tools. You’ll also support the rollout and training of this essential operational information, helping to ensure a smooth and effective transition to ongoing operations.

You will

  • Act as a document control expert, supporting projects across the Large Capital Projects (LCP) gate & Sub LCP project phases, working closely with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Prepare, format, and process project documentation to align with Project Management Office standards and templates, working as a key project team member to maintain quality and consistency.
  • Set up and maintain automated workflows, track document reviews and approvals, manage tracking logs, and escalate issues that delay document progression to the appropriate Project team member/manager.
  • Support the risk assessment and method statement review and acceptance process, to ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation.
  • Support teams with design drawing modifications to develop a relied upon as built drawing package, tracking and managing changes, ensuring current versions are always available and in the right place.
  • Project close out, ensuring all aspects of the latest project documentation are handed over to the operations team, ensuring compliance with CDM by delivering a high-quality Health & Safety file.

To be successful in this role, we’d love you to have;

  • Proven experience working within a project environment, managing documentation deliverables, and engaging confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Good technical understanding of process plant to support engineering teams in producing drawing mark ups.  CAD capability to enact simple markups in real time would be advantageous.
  • Solid understanding of document control processes, including traceable and auditable record keeping, document processing, and automated workflow creation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with the ability to quickly adapt to new software. Experience with systems such Autodesk and SharePoint would be advantageous
  • An appreciation of the Construction Design (& Management) Regulations, as well as typical site safety legislation, would be beneficial.
