Base Location: Aberdeen. Site Location Netherton Hub, Peterhead. 

Salary: £51,600 - £77,400 + car /car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role

Due to significant, sustained growth throughout the Business we have an exciting Project Manager role within the SSEN-T Offshore Delivery team with responsibility for execution phase delivery of the Longside AC 400kV/132kV AC substation project located at Netherton Hub, Peterhead working closely with the Lead Project Manager and Senior Project Manager. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals wishing to progress their career in the Project Management of large scale capital projects. 

You will

- Conduct your duties with safety at the heart of your role ensuring all work is executed safely in accordance with the SSE safety licence – "if it's not safe, we don't do it.”.

- Be responsible for delivery of packages within a £600m+ civil, building, and substation project as part of the wider Netherton Hub, interfacing with internal project support functions and working closely with external delivery contractors and consultants.

- Ensure project objectives are achieved in line with approved cost, programme and safety targets conducting your duties with strong commercial acumen in accordance with the NEC3 contract management provision for your delegated packages, including interface management and change control.

- Build and maintain productive and enduring relationships with contractors, stakeholders, and communities to support the sustainable delivery of the packages that you are responsible for.

You have

- Experience in the delivery of large capital project infrastructure projects, successfully through the execution phase. 

- Experience in working with Safety management systems, CDM regulations, planning/programme's, cost, risk, quality, design, consents, and ability to navigate your duties within the context of the agreed contractual provisions (NEC3).

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) with a strong understanding of project management systems and governance for the execution of large projects.

- An engineering, construction, or project management qualification / degree or equivalent experience. You will preferably working towards or hold a professional membership or registration, in Project Management or Engineering.

- Site based delivery experience with a proactive & motivated approach that contributes to the successful delivery of your delegated packages of work.
