The role

The ECS Sponsorship team is evolving to amplify its impact with an increased focus on key customer segments, performance, and accountability to deliver high-impact campaigns that drive brand engagement and measurable business results. To help us on this journey, we need an experienced Sponsorship Specialist to join our team.

This role will support the execution and optimisation of sponsorship campaigns, activations and content for both SSE Airtricity and SSE Energy Solutions. The role involves working closely with the Sponsorship team, wider marketing team, rightsholders and agencies across the UK and Ireland. Travel will be required, and a valid driving licence is a must.

Within the current ECS sponsorship portfolio are ‘title rights’ or ‘principal partner’ sponsorships of the SSE Arena and W5 (NI); SSE Airtricity League of Ireland and Sustainability Partner Dublin Zoo (Ireland); Energy Partner to Surrey County Cricket Club (GB); and smaller community-based charities e.g. LGBT Ireland.

You will

  • Support the wider sponsorship team in the execution of the ECS Sponsorship Strategy in Ireland and the UK. Ensuring alignment of sponsorship efforts with broader marketing KPIs and brand strategy, and ensuring all timelines, assets, and touchpoints are well coordinated.
  • Manage the effective utilisation of sponsorship assets, campaigns, content and events to deliver brand awareness and consideration, as well as support customer growth and retention.
  • Oversee the day to day management of key relationships including media and activation agencies, consultants, partners and rights holders.
  • Manage the full process of hospitality ticket allocation, tracking, and reporting, while engaging with key stakeholders to ensure effective use across key business areas.
  • Control budget optimisation through monitoring and optimising sponsorship campaigns to deliver maximum ROI, ensuring activities are tracked end to end in a cost effective and value driving manner.

You have

  • Proven experience supporting the delivery of brand campaigns, partnership rights, and activations across multiple channels and touchpoints.
  • Demonstrable understanding in marketing performance management, ongoing campaign optimisation and how sponsorship supports brand, business goals and contributes to partnership value and visibility.
  • An enthusiasm and drive to execute new ideas and innovate existing marketing strategies to ensure alignment with overall organisational goals, brand relevance and best-in-class execution.
  • The ability to track sponsorship usage, evaluate performance, and use insights to identify risks, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • The capacity to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders, reacting to changing plans, and supporting fast-paced campaigns or event activations under deadline pressure.
