Base Location: Reading, Cardiff or Perth

Salary: £40,600 - £61,000 + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

What is the Role?

As the Settlements Performance Manager within Business Energy, you will lead the strategic and operational management of gas and electricity settlement performance. You will ensure compliance with all relevant energy codes and regulations while working towards minimising imbalances and estimation in settlements systems. This pivotal role demands strategic insight and strong collaboration across various teams. As part of your role you will:

- Monitor and analyse settlement data to identify discrepancies and establish corrective actions while maintaining compliance with industry codes.

- Develop and execute strategies to minimise long-term unread meters and estimation across the energy portfolio.

- Engage with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive improvements in meter read accuracy and settlements performance.

- Provide expert guidance on regulatory requirements and attend industry forums to stay updated on settlement-related changes.

- Lead initiatives aimed at reducing costs associated with settlement discrepancies and play a critical role in the transition to Market Wide Half Hourly Settlement.

What do I need?

We are looking for a candidate who not only meets but exceeds the following criteria:

- Profound knowledge and expertise in energy industry settlements, regulations, and compliance is essential.

- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.

- Exceptional negotiation and communication skills to effectively manage stakeholder expectations.

- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

- Analytical thinker with substantial experience in troubleshooting and problem resolution.
