The role
We’re on an exciting journey to modernise how our colleagues work—moving to cloud‑managed devices and services that enable secure, productive, and flexible working anywhere. As a Senior Solution Architect (End User Compute), you’ll play a pivotal role in designing and delivering the next generation of workplace technology for thousands of users across SSE.
You Will
Lead the architecture for end‑user computing (EUC) across devices, identity, security, and application delivery—setting patterns and roadmaps that align with SSE’s digital strategy.
Drive the transition to modern device management using cloud‑based tools, ensuring a secure, seamless experience for colleagues.
Design innovative solutions for new use cases, such as Cloud PC and virtual desktop environments for specialist roles.
Embed Zero‑Trust principles and strong security baselines into all EUC solutions.
Collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and partners to deliver solutions that balance user experience, security, and cost.
You Have
Proven experience as a Solution or Technical Architect in enterprise EUC environments.
Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS, collaboration tools, and endpoint management platforms (e.g., Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, Configuration Manager).
Expertise in identity and access management, endpoint security, and application packaging/deployment.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), and related technologies.
Desirable: Certifications such as TOGAF or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, and experience with AI‑enabled EUC solutions.
