The Role
The Senior Solution Architect leads the design and strategy of digital platforms, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and aligned with business goals. In this position, you will set the architecture vision for digital products and services (spanning web, mobile, and related channels) and own the digital platform roadmap – including enabling AI capabilities as part of our digital transformation. The role focuses on cloud-native architecture, API-first design, and integration across systems, while supporting agile and DevOps delivery. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions and maintain architectural standards that enable innovation and performance.
You Will
Digital Platform Strategy & Ownership: Define , Own and communicate the strategic technical vision and roadmap for the organization’s digital platforms and AI capabilities, ensuring alignment with business strategy and customer needs.
Cloud-Native Design & Delivery: Lead the design of scalable, resilient digital solutions by leveraging cloud-native technologies and platforms like Azure or AWS, using modern cloud services and frameworks – such as microservices, containers (e.g. Docker/Kubernetes), and serverless computing.
API Enablement & Lifecycle Management: Lead an API-first design philosophy for all digital initiatives. You will define and govern the creation of APIs that expose business capabilities in a consistent and secure manner. You will oversee the full API lifecycle and using API Management (APIM) tools to govern their usage.
Integration Architecture & Interoperability: Ensure that our various systems and services work together harmoniously as part of a connected digital ecosystem, while minimising coupling and complexity.
User Experience Alignment & Performance Optimisation: Collaborate with UX/UI designers and product teams to ensure the architecture enables excellent user experiences for a responsive, and reliable front-end interactions.
Architecture Governance & Standards: Establish and enforce architecture governance for digital solutions by developing standards, design principles, and reference patterns; integrate these into Agile and DevOps workflows, and define flexible architecture guardrails that enable iterative development while maintaining alignment with long-term goals. Additionally, you keep an eye on industry best practices and emerging standards (for instance, new security protocols, evolving cloud offerings, or AI ethics and governance frameworks) and update our internal standards accordingly, to keep our digital platforms current and reliable.
You Have
Proven expertise in designing and delivering solutions using cloud-native architectures including a deep understanding of serverless, containers, and relevant cloud services. As well as proficiency in various architectural patterns (e.g., microservices, event-driven), integration design patterns, and API architecture (REST, GraphQL).
Familiarity with agile delivery, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tooling.
Certifications in cloud or architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, AWS/Azure) are beneficial.
Strategic mindset and commitment to continuous learning in emerging technologies.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
