About the Role
Base Location: Reading, Havant, Glasgow, Perth or Aberdeen
Salary: £53,100 - £79,700 + performance-related bonus and a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available
Working within the central CTO organisation you will be part of the business unit facing Enterprise Architecture team. This enables close cooperation with business unit stakeholders while also allowing the successful candidate to align with central teams who define the technology strategy for SSE Group.
- Input to strategic planning to align technology investment with business strategies.
- Manage the portfolio of application and technology services to support the management of risks, costs and quality.
- Define & assure principles, standards and guardrails to align the organisation to strategic direction and adopt best practice.
- Assess new demands & opportunities to inform prioritisation based on strategic alignment, and to promote reuse of solutions and alignment to technology standards.
- Research, prototyping and showcasing to enable innovation.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Ability to work in environments that are undergoing change, working in an iterative and adaptive manner.
- Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation, influencing and negotiation with a wide range of stakeholders up to C-level.
-. Relevant or transferrable skills and experience in Corporate environments.
- Experience across business, application, data and technology architecture would be advantageous.
- Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies, assess their suitability to the respective business unit context and estimate the financial impact of adopting them.
