The role
As a Senior Contract Manager – IT & Telco reporting to the P&C Manager - IT & Telco, you will leverage your expertise to foster productive relationships between IT and Key Suppliers, optimising service delivery amidst our extensive portfolio of property and land assets across the UK and Ireland. Your role involves acting as a commercial advisory to the IT senior leadership team, focusing on ensuring suppliers exceed service, performance, and cost expectations.
Partnering closely with IT Programmes and projects, you'll influence strategic and operational relations with suppliers to ensure successful outcomes.
You will
Implement, manage and develop productive relationships between IT, BU, P&C and Key IT Suppliers, sometimes at senior exec level.
Develop and facilitate strategic relationships both within SSE and with Supplier teams, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
Apply robust management and governance practices across a portfolio of IT & Telco Suppliers.
Evaluate Supplier performance against KPIs, discussing commercial and contractual changes and opportunities for improvement.
Drive and support improvements in cost, quality, delivery, risk, and innovation with long-term Suppliers.
You have
We're seeking a proactive Senior Contract Manager equipped with the following skills:
Deep understanding of IT & Telco Supplier management across diverse functional and business boundaries.
Proven excellence in technical appreciation of Supply Chain risk management, SRM, and procurement principles.
In-depth knowledge of contract structures, documentation, and IT-specific strategies.
Strong communication and leadership skills, capable of influencing strategic agendas.
Capacity to plan and monitor change initiatives, ensuring they translate to service improvements and sustainable performance.
