Base Location: Glasgow/Flexible Scotland

Salary: £50,100 - £75,100 plus performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

The role

SSE Procurement Operations is inviting a collaborative and experienced professional to join our Corporate Services category team. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Senior Contract Manager to nurture strong partnerships and ensure effective commercial and contractual management of our Managed Service Provider (MSP). Together, we’ll champion governance, compliance, cost efficiency, and supply chain resilience across our non-permanent workforce and services-based procurement.

We’re looking for someone with a solid background in Managed Service Operations (MSO) and experience in contracts or programme management. You’ll bring a proven ability to manage programmes that integrate contingent workforce and services-based procurement, fostering positive supplier relationships and supporting performance management to meet wider Group objectives.

You will

Partner with the Senior Contract Manager to deliver MSP services and contribute to managing a programme that integrates contingent workforce and services-based procurement.

Bring expertise in Managed Service Operations, applying your experience in contracts or programme management to support accountability, efficiency, and productivity across operational delivery, risk, and compliance.

Drive continuous improvement and innovation, helping achieve financial and non-financial benefits through cost reduction and supplier-led initiatives.

Collaborate with business managers and leaders across the Group to align with broader business, HR, and commercial objectives, while engaging the MSP to deliver service excellence and creative solutions.

Monitor and report on performance metrics and KPIs, providing insights that inform decision-making and highlight value-add opportunities.

You will

Build strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and the MSP, ensuring high delivery standards, contractual compliance, and sustainable supply chain performance.

Work in partnership with the MSP to mitigate risk, enhance quality, and deliver innovative resourcing solutions, applying effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

Bring a solid background in Managed Service Operations (MSO), with experience managing an MSP programme or similar delivery model, and a service-focused approach to delivery.

Demonstrate commercial awareness and problem-solving ability, including cost management and understanding of contractual and legislative risk, while thinking creatively to challenge the status quo.

Show enthusiasm and self-motivation as a team player, confident in decision-making and committed to driving initiatives through to completion in a collaborative, inclusive way.
