Base Location: For this role, we require successful applicants to be based from one of our Scottish locations and you'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in the office – Glasgow, Perth, Inverness, or Aberdeen.

Salary: £31,600 - £47,400 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role

The Safety Health & Wellbeing (SHW) Coordinator supports the SHW governance processes required to enhance stakeholder understanding and engagement on the SHW performance of SSEN Transmission. The SHW Co-ordinator will assist the SHW Support Manager to manage and ensure governance over all matters associated with SHW performance reporting, the SHW Management System and SHW Assurance activities, as well as provide support for SHW projects in the SSEN Transmission business. 

You will

- Coordinate the SHW governance processes for SHW reporting, data management and performance reporting across the organisation.

- Develop and apply the administration standards regarding the provision of SHW information, performance reports, dashboards and SHW communications to stakeholders.

- Assist in the implementation of SHW Support strategies ensuring the associated documentation is effective, accurate, complete, consistent, unambiguous, well-structured and concise.

- Perform a lead role for incident escalations from the 30min process. This role will triage all incidents when they come in and depending on the severity of the incident they will either allocate the appropriate advisor, or where appropriate, provide the necessary support themselves.

- Manage the range of SHW support tools used to generate SHW performance information and where required, provide training, advice and support to internal stakeholders on access to SHW support tools.

You have

- Practical experience of data management systems.

- An awareness of construction, maintenance and operational field practices, ideally in the electrical transmission industry.

- Experience supporting the development and governance of SHW Management Systems.

- Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations in the UK.

- NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent, or willing to work towards on an agreed timescale.
