Base Location: You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in our Inveralmond House office, Perth.

Salary: £44,000 - £65,900 depending on skills and experience + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role

As a Risk & Assurance Assurance Analyst, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Thermal business in establishing, conducting, monitoring, and reporting on risk and assurance activities.

Some of your other main accountabilities will include;

  • Ensuring risks are managed and the business operates in a fair and ethical manner, remaining fully compliant with regulatory, legal and stakeholder obligations aligned to the Systems on Internal Control.
  • Undertaking assurance reviews to verify obligations are being met in areas of risk across the business and producing and communicating accurate reports that are reflective of findings.
  • Assisting in the understanding, interpretation, and communication of regulatory and legal ‘Rules & Codes’ relevant to the Thermal business.
  • Assisting with monthly and annual assurance reporting activities as required.

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have;

  • Ability to learn, challenge and develop risk and assurance frameworks with strong data analysis, investigation and presentation skills gained in a data-driven environment.
  • A good understanding of how controls and assurance outcomes influence wider business risk, bringing a proactive, forward-looking perspective.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to balance a varied and challenging workload in order to prioritise and deliver within deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and confidence using a range of IT systems and software packages, including SharePoint, Power BI, Workiva and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • The ability to translate business requirements into meaningful data insights, presenting information clearly and simply to support informed decision-making across the business.
