Salary: £41,583 - £48,296 + performance-related bonus + shift allowance + Retention Bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The Role:
We are recruiting 2 Operations Technicians to join our dynamic operations team at Medway Power Station. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced technicians to contribute to the safe and efficient operation of our power generation plant and help the station meet its net-zero goals while providing flexible, essential power.
As an Operations Technician, you will report directly to the Shift Group Leader (SGL) and be responsible for the day-to-day operation of a variety of plant equipment, including turbines, pumps, heat recovery steam generators, and electrical switchgear (from 415V up to 400,000V).
You will
- Help maintain the efficiency and safety of our power station, ensuring plant systems operate smoothly and that any issues are promptly identified and addressed.
- Diagnose plant related problems and perform basic first line maintenance tasks, - conducting all activities with the highest regard for health, safety and environment.
- Report any defects via our electronic defect reporting system Maximo.
- Conduct plant walk round and daily checks to ensure equipment is operating safely, reliably and efficiently.
- Undertake specific projects and work activities to develop skills and knowledge of the plant.
You Have:
- A minimum ONC level qualification in engineering (or equivalent technical qualification).
- Previous operational experience in a power plant or major process facility.
- Ability to demonstrate a solid understanding of thermodynamics as applied to electricity generation in a power station.
- A broad understanding of Health and Safety at work; an IOSH or NEBOSH certificate would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
