Offshore Employer's Construction Vessel Representative (CVR)

Base Location: For this role, we require successful applicants to be based from one of our Scottish locations – Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen or Inverness.

Salary: £50,100 - £75,100 + car /car allowance + daily offshore disturbance allowance (when offshore) + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time (rotational pattern of 4/4) | Flexible First options available

The role

With the continued growth of the Marine function of SSEN-Transmission Offshore Delivery there are several requirements for Employer’s Construction Vessel Representatives (EVR) to join the team. The CVR will be a key role, acting as the single point of contact between the SSEN Transmission personnel on board a particular vessel and the Project Leadership team via the Marine Construction Manager.

You will

- Act as the focal point and site safety leader for the vessel, taking ownership of all risk management actions, actively promote and lead a Health and Safety focus on board your assigned vessel and scope.

- Provide Leadership and guidance to all SSEN Transmission Offshore employees assigned to the specific vessel, ensuring they have clear direction and open communication lines.

- Act as the key interface between the vessel and the Project teams, ensure that key reporting lines are established including detailed daily email, regular field updates to the Marine Construction Manager, through to a daily Vessel Management Meeting to identify all vessel activities from third party to metocean conditions that may impact the marine scope.

- Oversee the specific vessel work scope, highlight concerns to ensure milestones and targets are met, whilst ensuring work packages and scopes are constructed in line with contract drawings, specifications and potential approved MoCs.

- Provide technical and operational advice to all personnel on board the vessel, and ensure that SEN Transmission’s requirements, expectations and intentions are fully briefed and updated throughout the offshore campaign.

You have

- In-depth experience and proven track record in offshore/subsea construction activities in a similar role.

- A clear understanding of construction vessel operations and marine operations experience relating to DP and Simultaneous operations both surface and subsurface.

- Demonstrable supervisory experience with strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

- Previous experience of managing contractors, ensuring that the marine delivery scope is in full compliance with the contract.

- Sound knowledge of offshore standards, designs, legislation, risks, Health & Safety and governance related to the marine delivery scope.
