Base Location: Great Island Generation Station

Salary: €68,000 - €95,000 (including local allowance) + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time with Flexible First options available

The role

Reporting directly to the Great Island Engineering Manager the Cyber Security Digital Technology Engineer role encompasses delivery of digital assets alongside the physical assets at Thermal Ireland Power Stations such as Great Island, Tarbert, Rhode, Tawnaghmore, Platin and any new developments supporting delivery of the Thermal business asset management objectives.

With a particular emphasis on cybersecurity, you will help protect and develop our people, our premises, and digital systems to support our NetZero ambitions as a Thermal business. The role will be the primary contact for OT Cyber Security across the Thermal Ireland Business and be the lead for digital projects/improvements, providing concise communication to all stakeholders and support delivery of value adding projects.

You will 

- Understand the application of digital technology in a power station environment to enhance reliability and availability.

- Understand the regulatory requirements for OT cybersecurity and translate those requirements into physical deliverables on site.

- Effectively apply financial management and planning skills in a product environment (including capex vs opex budgetary structures)

- Identify and manage key stakeholders.

- Develop counter measures and contingency plans associated with significant delivery risk and actively seek best practice and opportunities from outside the station / company, and apply them

You have

- Relevant Degree (i.e., OT, IT or Computing, Process Controls) or equivalent experience

- Experience of cyber-Security/Digital Engineering in Operational environment.

- Openness to new ideas and champion their implementation.

- Experience and understanding in the maintenance of power stations or other process plants preferable
