Salary: £49,004 - £57,728 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role

We have exciting opportunities for a Network Performance Analyst to join SSEN Transmission in the Control Centre. This will be part of the control support team which is responsible for supporting the 24/7 real time control teams. This role will support the business in assessing network performance and providing accurate submissions to internal and external stakeholders.  

You will

  • Communicate with both internal and external stakeholders to complete the accurate preparation and presentation of performance measures and reporting. 
  • Ensure that Transmission data is available as required for audit purposes and will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Provide analysis, visualisations and performance summaries and develop new KPIs and metrics.  
  • Review/evolve existing work methods to create improved working methodologies and processes. Applying performance excellence techniques to drive improvements.  
  • Support the control room during major system events and storms. 

 

You have

  • It would be desirable to have qualifications to HNC level in a science or engineering subject, suitable experience or other relevant backgrounds will be considered. Previous experience in the use of Energy Management SCADA systems and data retrieval systems would be desirable. 
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft tools, such as Excel, Word and Power Bi and willingness to extend these to a high level of expertise. 
  • The ability to consolidate, check and present data from multiple sources in a professional manner, as well as the skills to analyse and solve problems logically.  
  • Understanding of the electricity industry, and the reporting, audit and compliance processes and the potential impact of non-compliance. 
  • Excellent time management skills, confident, well organised, able to prioritise and to drive change working well within a team environment.
