About the Role

Base Location: Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness or Glasgow preferred. We will, however need your base 'home' location to be one of our SSEN offices or depots around Scotland.

Salary: £33,063 - £38,404 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

The Mapping and Data Technician is a distinct role existing within the Investment Planning North Team and your work will directly impact the effectiveness of our circuit planning and execution.

In this role you will:

• Carry out geospatial mapping on approximately 150 circuits per year.
• Produce all work packages for the Whole Circuit Approach and collate the different work types on each circuit.
• Provide delivery team with support on circuit work packages.
• Work closely with Investment Engineers to carry out data gathering and data cleansing activities to ensure data accuracy.

What do I need?

To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:

• Strong data analysis skills (including PowerBI and Excel) to interpret and manipulate datasets and maintain data integrity and accuracy.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, forming judgements based on logical conclusions that have been drawn from available facts.
• Able to visualise and articulate proposed solutions to business problems.
• Excellent time management skills; able to effectively plan own and others' time.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
