The role
We’re on the lookout for a motivated and reliable LGV Driver/Labourer to join our hardworking team based in Dundee. If you’re looking for a role that offers variety, teamwork, and the chance to be part of something meaningful, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
You will
- Collaborate within a team to reinstate excavations on highways and private properties, supporting the maintenance of our distribution network.
- Ensure clear communication, adherence to safety protocols, and consistent application of safe working practices throughout all activities.
- Carry out duties outdoors in all weather conditions, working to strict deadlines while ensuring full compliance with relevant regulations. Provide high-quality customer service, particularly in response to reactive maintenance needs.
- Take on a physically demanding role, involving extensive reinstatement works on the highway and private land.
- Work in close collaboration with your manager and be prepared to support additional ad hoc projects as required.
You have
- Some experience with reinstating techniques including Tarmac, modular services, slabs and concrete.
- Experience of working on public highways involving setting up and taking down temporary traffic signals to the code of practice and working alongside hotbox, concrete, and grab lorries.
- A full UK driving license with a LGV entitlement is essential.
- Lorry Loader (Hiab) ticket preferred but not essential as training can be given.
