Events and Sponsorship Manager

Base Location: For this role, we require successful applicants to be based from one of our Scottish locations –Perth, Inverness, or Aberdeen

Salary: £42,600 - £64,000 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

The role

You’ll play a key role in bringing the SSEN Transmission brand to life — helping to shape how we show up, engage, and build relationships across our industry and communities.  In this role, you’ll develop and deliver our sponsorship proposition and ensure that every event and partnership tells our story authentically and memorably.  You’ll help make SSEN Transmission a company people want to contract with, partner with, work for and invest in.

You’ll be part of a small, dynamic Stakeholder Engagement team, working collaboratively to unify how we engage and communicate, ensuring our brand is trusted, respected and recognised.  As part of the role, you’ll travel to run and attend events, with occasional work outside standard hours to ensure their successful delivery.

You will

• Develop and deliver a strategic sponsorship proposition that supports SSEN Transmission’s engagement and brand objectives, securing opportunities that build advocacy and meaningful relationships.
• Lead the design, planning and execution of events, from concept to delivery, ensuring a ‘best in class’ experience that enhances our reputation, supports business goals and delivers measurable impact.
• Manage the deployment of marketing and brand strategies, working closely with the Corporate Affairs and Brand teams to ensure consistency across all communication touchpoints.
• Strengthen internal brand engagement by creating campaigns that inspire pride, alignment and connection to our brand values.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to drive brand consistency, manage agency relationships and evaluate the effectiveness of sponsorships and events to inform continuous improvement.

You have

• Proven experience managing strategic events and sponsorships, ideally within a complex or regulated environment.
• Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to deliver multiple initiatives on time and within budget.
• A passion for brand building and storytelling, with a keen eye for detail and consistency across all communications.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, you’re collaborative, confident and able to influence at all levels.
• An analytical mindset, with experience measuring and reporting on event and sponsorship effectiveness.
