Base Location: You'll be expected to spend at least 50% of your working week in one of the following locations: Perth, Glasgow or Reading, or around the Distribution depot estate in the North of Scotland or South Central coast of England
Salary: Circa £160,000 + performance-related bonus + car/cash allowance + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role
SSEN Distribution is at the heart of delivering a safe, reliable and sustainable electricity network for the communities we serve, today and tomorrow. At a time of significant growth and transformation, as HR Director, you'll be the senior HR leader for our regulated Distribution business, partnering directly with the Managing Director, the Distribution Executive Committee and Group HR Director to shape and deliver the people strategy that enables our business objectives.
A key member of both the Distribution Executive Committee and HR Leadership Team, you'll play a critical role in influencing business strategy through a people, organisation, technology and culture lens. You'll ensure we have the leadership capability, workforce resilience, culture and organisational effectiveness required to deliver today while preparing for the future.
This is a highly visible executive leadership role, responsible for leading a strategic HR partnering model across Distribution and driving impactful workforce, talent, transformation and culture initiatives across a complex, safety-critical and regulated environment. Embracing new and emerging technologies, you’ll collaborate with our technology, data and digital function shaping work and role design creating a colleague experience that is inclusive, effective and empowering.
