Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Onsite
We are seeking an experienced HGV/HIAB Lorry Driver to join our High Voltage Overhead Construction teams in the Thames Valley Region.
In this role, you will be responsible for the safe delivery of poles and equipment to various sites, using a HIAB for loading and unloading.
The ideal candidate will have a valid HGV license (Category C or C+E), CPC certification, and experience operating lorries equipped with cranes.
Flexibility with working hours is essential, especially during emergencies or storm conditions, as part of our SSEN license responsibilities. A strong safety focus, good driving record, and commitment to excellent customer service are key to success in this role.
You will:
Operate a pole lorry, using a HIAB for loading and unloading.
Ensure the safe transportation of poles and materials, adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
Complete daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects.
Interacte with internal and external customers and providing excellent customer service.
Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork.
You have:
Valid HGV license (Category C or C+E).
Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
Experience operating a lorry with a crane or HIAB
Good driving record and knowledge of road safety regulations relating to HGV usage.
