About the Role
Base Location: Cardiff – this is a hybrid role working a minimum two days a week from the office at the advertised location.
Salary: £39,415 - £45,136 + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.
Working Pattern: 18 month fixed term contract or secondment | Full Time | Flexible First options available
What is the Role?
As the Metering Services Team Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating, motivating, encouraging, and empowering your team in our Metering Services department within Business Energy. Metering Services provides support to the business by arranging and managing metering work for customers, ensuring the billing system is operating accurately, updating service provider and networks systems, Smart & AMR installs, in addition to managing Xoserve gas volume discrepancies. Your role will include:
- Coaching and mentoring your team to succeed through delivering regular team meetings and one to ones.
- Management of team performance and business SLA’s through using best practice, tools, and frameworks.
- Lead and engage your team to stay motivated and perform against business objectives and KPI’s.
- Build relationships with all stakeholders and act as an ambassador for your team. You will encourage the right behaviour and customer service delivery through your actions and engagements.
- Drive innovation through your team and across the wider business.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to lead, inspire and develop your team.
- Understanding of emotional intelligence and how this is relevant when managing a team of people.
- Proactive approach to innovation and problem solving.
- Demonstratable experience within a leadership role in a customer service environment.
- Commercial understanding with strong analytical skills and a methodical approach.
