SSE is currently undergoing a 5 year+ £1Bn IT transformation programme spanning all areas of the business to support its continuing strategy. Finance Transformation is in its 3rd year as a programme which has been simplifying its processes, systems, controls and data and is now embarking on a Digital journey to ensure its Finance function is fit for purpose and can move in an agile way to support the implementation of the ambitious SSE overall strategy.
The main purpose of the PMO Junior Analyst role is to provide administrative support to the overall programme around general project meeting facilitation and administrative support, assisting with and supporting project workshops, helping with issuing of communications, assisting the project managers in the maintenance of key project documentation and undertaking any other administrative tasks as specified by the Programme Management Office.
- Carry out day-to-day support activities to the wider programme team primarily around assisting with scheduling of workshops with both internal and external stakeholders, providing administrative support at workshops and any other general meeting support.
- Assist the PMO team where required with maintaining key project documentation i.e. project plans, RAID logs and action logs.
- SharePoint and mailbox management.
- Support the Change & Communications team when required with wider programme activity and communications.
- Form effective relationships with and manage programme stakeholders.
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Awareness and good understanding of change / project management methodology.
- Experience of demonstrating good planning and organisational skills.
- An understanding of a corporate finance function would be desirable but is not essential.
- A basic understanding of the Energy industry would be beneficial but is not essential.
- Keen to expand knowledge of change management and develop within the role.
