The role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Analyst to join our Joint Venture Finance team, working to deliver two of the UK’s largest transmission projects – Eastern Green Link 2 & 3. Delivered in partnership with SSEN Transmission and National Grid, these projects represent a significant investment in the UK’s energy network and will play a vital role in achieving net zero and supporting the UK’s future security of supply.
You will
Play a critical role in the cash management of the company, analysing incoming and outgoing payments, and ensuring that sufficient liquidity is always maintained.
Perform all Accounts Receivable duties, including creating and submitting customer invoices, receipting of incoming payments, resolving aged debt items, and reconciling the AR ledger.
Have oversight of the procure-to-pay process, working closely with key stakeholders across the business, to ensure that the entire lifecycle from requisition to payment is efficient and compliant.
Support the month end close process by preparing accruals and other transactions, including the setup and analysis of supporting schedules.
Support the year-end reporting process, including being involved in the annual external audit.
You have
Previous finance experience is desirable, however not essential, as we also welcome applicants who demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and develop within the role.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with Oracle-based systems is advantageous.
Ability to accurately process information with precision and minimal errors.
Able to effectively plan, organise and prioritise tasks and activities to maximise productivity.
Eager to explore and gain a deeper understanding of the role and industry by asking insightful questions, seeking innovative solutions to challenges, and continuously learning.
