About the Role
Base Location: Flexible Yorkshire & North West, however our preference is that you will be based from Sheffield, Leeds or Manchester.
Salary: £39,415 - £45,136 + performance-related bonus + company vehicle + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

As a Solar & Battery Field Operations Site Supervisor, you'll be accountable for maintaining high standards regarding statutory legislation, safety performance, contractor management, clean building standards, and personal behaviour to name but a few. All whilst ensuring the Solar PV/Battery Storage assets meet its availability and production targets.
Some of your other main accountabilities will include:
- Liaising with internal and external key stakeholders and facilitating a safe system of work for staff and contractors by carrying out inductions, reviewing risk assessments and method statements, and enacting the setting-to-work process.
- Acting as a safety ambassador for SSE, engaging positively with visitors and 3rd parties around our safety standards whilst on site.
- Ensuring that all planned and unplanned maintenance routines are carried out on time and to the required standard.
- Providing emergency response by reacting to incidents, carrying out investigations and sharing the learnings across the business
- Performing site inspections and quality audits whilst building and managing budgets in line with forecast.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Previous experience of working on Battery Storage, Solar PV assets or other renewable energy systems as a Site Supervisor/Site Manager.
- The ability to read and follow engineering drawings, single-line diagrams and schematics.
- Outstanding organisational and communication skills, with the ability to influence and forge strong relationships with stakeholders across a variety of levels and seniority.
- Experience in performing site inspections and audits.
- An understanding of financial protocols and experience managing small budgets.
- Although this role will be primarily based in the Yorkshire area some travel to other sites across the UK may be required, therefore the ability to travel and a valid driving licence is essential.
