About the Role

Base Location:  Perth or Aberdeen.

Salary: £33,500 - £50,300 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Fixed Term Contract (18 months) | Full Time | Flexible First options available

Working within the Customer and Stakeholder Directorate of SSEN Transmission, the Customer Experience Communications Manager will develop and deliver effective communication strategies to drive positive customer experiences. This is an 18-month fixed term contract.

The key responsibilities of the Customer Experience Communications Manager include:

- To develop and implement communication strategies that address and mitigate challenges associated with energy connection reform and deliver positive outcomes for customers and stakeholders.

- Work closely with teams across the business to translate complex information into clear concise communications, managing challenging messages and responding promptly to customer and stakeholder concerns.

- Create compelling content for external communications, including website updates, , press releases and blog articles to positively promote SSEN Transmission’s services.

- Work with the Internal Communications team to use a variety of delivery routes, including internal briefings, video content, newsletters and announcements to keep colleagues actively engaged and informed.

- Collaborate with colleagues in the Corporate Affairs team to monitor social media channels and online forums to address any concerns relating to reform changes and maintain a positive image of SSEN Transmission’s delivery of reform initiatives.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Demonstrable experience in comms management, preferably within a customer-centric environment.

- Proven ability to translate complex ideas into plain English understanding different audience requirements and changing communication style effectively.

- Experience of providing stakeholder support, building effective and trusted relationships whilst actively engaging with multi-discipline teams.

- Strong understanding of the media environment and best practice approach whilst engaging effectively with media communications and other influential stakeholders.

- Ideally have an an understanding of Energy Networks and the contribution of SSEN Transmission and its key role in the delivery of net zero targets with an understanding of politics and it’s impact.
