About the Role
Base Location: Aberdeen, Glasgow, Perth.
Salary: £40,600 - £61,000 + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances, and wellbeing.

We have an exciting opportunity opening for the role of Business Assurance Analyst to join the SSE Thermal business. Reporting into the SSE Thermal Business Assurance Manager, you will work in a dynamic and demanding yet supportive environment. As a Business Assurance Analyst, you will support the business in ensuring the Thermal Business Unit operates in a fair and ethical manner, and is compliant with all regulatory, legal and stakeholder obligations through effective and timely risk-based reviews and monitoring activities.
Some of your main accountabilities will include:
- Working with the business to assess, prioritise and mitigate business risks.
- Undertaking assurance reviews to verify obligations are being met in areas of risk across the business, producing and communicating accurate reports reflective of findings.
- Assisting in the understanding, interpretation, and communication of regulatory and legal ‘Rules & Codes’ relevant to the Thermal business.
- Assisting with monthly and annual assurance reporting activities.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to be able to demonstrate the following skills:
- Ability to learn, challenge and develop the assurance framework.
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly in reporting, spreadsheets, and documents.
- Comfortable working with a variety of different IT packages, including SharePoint, Power Bi, and the Microsoft Office suite.
