What is the Role?
- Works with business and IT colleagues to clarify requirements, to plan implementation and to answer queries through the development process, right through to testing to ensure requirements have been met
- Marshals and documents requirements for the subsequent identification of an appropriate solution and the detailed design of a business process to accommodate it
- Plans, prioritises, manages, and executes analysis work on multiple simple and complex projects to regularly achieve cost and timescale targets
- Conducts qualitative analysis to ensure business impact assessments are thorough and able to present findings to all audiences, or varying seniority, throughout the business
- Carries out in depth scoping exercises during the early and pre-project stages to identify key issues of concern and to ascertain clear direction.
What do I need?
- Extensive experience in a Business Analyst role supporting business critical projects.
- Extensive experience of defining high level and detailed requirements and user stories in a regulated environment
- Qualified to a Certified Business Analyst standard (BCS, APMG, IIBA, or equivalent).
- Experience working in both Waterfall and Agile environments and working at all stages of the project lifecycle.
- Understanding and appreciation of working in a heavily regulated environment. For preference experience of the gas and electricity market, industry, and operations, however, experience in a similarly regulated industry/sector will be acceptable.
