About the Role

Base Location: Swindon, Melksham, Andover and Oxford 

Salary: £36,139-£43,188 depending on skills and experience + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time

As a Voltage Complaints Technician, you'll be working with both LV and HV networks, tackling ongoing issues and fixing them according to industry rules like ESQCR.

You'll need to be good at problem-solving, managing relationships with different teams, and staying calm under pressure in a fast-paced setting.

If you've got experience in engineering, electrical networks, or a related technical field—or if you can show us your skills through past work or relevant experience—we'd love to hear from you!

You will -

- Prioritise safety above all else by integrating it into every part of the job, ensuring resource allocation is efficient and work is carried out in the safest way possible.

- Handle customer inquiries about network supply continuity, ensuring reliable performance and meeting regulatory requirements and business targets for network security.

- Act quickly and efficiently to restore power to customers, ensuring a complete and thorough repair is made before closing the job.

- Safeguard the environment and surrounding areas to protect the company's reputation and maintain high standards of care.

- Respond promptly to emergency situations, including severe weather events, to minimize disruptions and ensure quick resolution.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would like you to have the below or willing to undertake training to acquire these accreditations:

- Experience in conducting investigations and creating detailed reports, along with IOSH Managing Safety and City & Guilds 2339 certification.

- Energy & Utility Skills Register (EUSR) and New Roads & Streetworks Act (NRSWA) certification.

- Good working knowledge of the Operational Safety Rules and hold Operational Authorisations Cat 1 – 5 (Substation Entry, Supervising a Working Party, LV Switching), 10 (Mobile Generation).

- Cat 7 (HV Switching) authorisations, or actively working towards them.

- Cat 12 & Cat 14 (SAP) authorisations, or currently working towards obtaining them.

Due to the nature of the role, a full UK drivers licence is essential.
