Base Location: Belfast – you’ll typically spend around 50% of your working week in our Belfast office
Salary: £36,200 – £54,400 + commission + a wide range of benefits to support your health, finances and family life

About the role

At SSE Airtricity, we're passionate about helping businesses succeed through innovative and competitive energy solutions. Our Bespoke Commercial Sales team works with SME customers across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, providing tailored electricity and gas contracts that meet their unique business needs.

As an SME Commercial Sales Specialist, you'll play a key role in developing and growing our customer portfolio, working closely with energy brokers, TPIs and direct customers. You'll be part of a high-performing, supportive team where collaboration, customer focus and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything we do.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded sales professional who enjoys building relationships, negotiating successful outcomes and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

What you’ll do

• Deliver tailored electricity and gas solutions to brokers, TPIs and direct business customers.
• Build strong customer and broker relationships to win, retain and grow business.
• Negotiate profitable contracts and manage opportunities through to close.
• Analyse market trends and customer insights to support commercial decisions.
• Work with internal teams to develop compelling customer propositions and solutions.

What we’re looking for

You’ll ideally have:

• Experience in commercial electricity & gas sales, account management or business development.
• Proven success in winning new business and retaining customers.
• Strong commercial and analytical skills with the ability to develop bespoke solutions.
• Confidence in creating and presenting complex pricing proposals.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills.
