Location: You’ll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in one of the following locations: Glasgow or Perth

Salary: £51,600 - £65,000 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing, and family.

The role

An exciting and high-impact opportunity at the heart of SSEN’s ED3 Business Plan development. This is a critical SSE Group priority that will shape our regulatory funding, investment strategy, and delivery commitments for the next price control period.

Reporting to the Senior Regulatory Finance Manager, you will drive regulatory finance activities and long term planning across our Distribution businesses during a critical period of industry growth and investment to support energy transition. This is a varied and challenging role with primary responsibilities as follows:

You will

- Develop and maintain long-term financial models and regulatory forecasts, providing financial insight, scenario analysis and recommendations to support business planning and investment decisions.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders including Regulations, Corporate Finance, Investor Relations, etc. acting as a recognised subject matter expert on regulatory finance matters.

- Support engagement with external stakeholders including Ofgem, consultants and wider industry stakeholders on regulatory finance matters, representing SSEN Distribution in industry forums and working groups where appropriate.

- Support the delivery of key regulatory submissions to Ofgem, including performance reporting, tariff setting and price control related activities.

- Support the development and execution of regulatory finance strategies across both current and future price control periods.

- Support senior stakeholder decision-making by translating complex regulatory and financial issues into clear and actionable recommendations.

You will 

- Be a qualified accountant (ICAS, ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, CIPFA, or equivalent).

- Have a strong interest in developing expertise in regulatory frameworks and technical requirements.

- Have the ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality outputs to tight deadlines.

- Be experienced in financial modelling.

- Understand financial markets and cost of capital would be advantageous.

- Have prior experience working within a regulated UK utility business would be beneficial.
