Base Location: For this role, we require successful applicants to be based from one of our Scottish locations and you'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in the office – Aberdeen, Inverness, Glasgow, Perth

Salary: £66,100 - £99,100 + car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role

Part of the Offshore Delivery directorate and reporting to the Lead Engineering Manager, the Engineering Manager is responsible for the technical governance and delivery of major capital projects underpinning our transition to Net Zero, each typically valued in the range of £700m to £2bn.

We have several opportunities across HVDC Converter Station and Cable System work packages.

You will

- Champion safety by fulfilling Designer/Principal Designer duties under CDM regulations and promoting exemplary safety practices within the team.

- Take responsibility for technical governance and risk management, including ownership of the Design Management Plan and mitigation of technical risks.

- Provide leadership and manage a multidisciplinary engineering team, fostering confidence among team members and stakeholders.

- Ensure stakeholder engagement and maintain strong communication to support project delivery and team cohesion.

- Oversee quality assurance, implementing appropriate interventions to maintain standards across service, supply and installation.

You have

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- A degree in an appropriate engineering discipline (Chartered Engineer status preferred)

- A proven track record in engineering management of large capital infrastructure projects

- Excellent communication, problem-solving and organisational skills

- A working knowledge of electricity networks and the wider energy industry

- A practical understanding of relevant legislation, including CDM and ESQCR
