Digital Information Manager (BIM & Data)

Base Location: For this role, we require successful applicants to be based from one of our Scottish locations and you'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in the office – Perth, Aberdeen or Inverness

Salary: £44,000 - £65,900 + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

The role

Due to continued growth and an expanding programme of work, SSEN Transmission has an opportunity for a Digital Information Manager (BIM & Data) to shape and coordinate the development and implementation of Digital Information Management, data governance and reporting across the development, delivery and handover phases of our energy infrastructure projects throughout Scotland.

The role is responsible for ensuring project information is managed in accordance with BS EN ISO 19650, organisational requirements and industry best practice, while providing meaningful insights through data reporting and interpretation. You will play a key role in improving the quality, consistency and accessibility of project information, helping teams make well-informed choices and supporting successful project delivery and asset handover.

Working closely with project teams, contractors and key stakeholders, you will build strong collaborative relationships while supporting project information management, digital assurance, reporting and information governance across a portfolio of major transmission infrastructure projects.

You have

• Develop and manage Project information Management in accordance with BS EN ISO 19650, organisational standards and project requirements, including defining EIRs and reviewing BIM Execution Plans, Information Delivery Plans and related documentation.
• Work collaboratively with legal, commercial, procurement, project teams, contractors and stakeholders to embed contractual digital delivery requirements and provide clear guidance on information governance, data management and digital delivery.
• Promote digital assurance and information quality processes, ensuring project information, metadata, naming conventions and governance requirements are accurate, complete, auditable and fit for purpose throughout the asset lifecycle.
• Develop Power BI dashboards, reporting solutions and performance metrics; review data to identify trends, risks and opportunities; and support information integration across Autodesk Forma (ACC), ArcGIS, Maximo, Microsoft Fabric, Oracle Unifier and other business systems.
• Support Digital Information Coordinators and Project Information Officers, oversee project CDEs, drive continuous improvement through automation and reporting, and support model-based review, coordination and validation activities where required.

You Have

• Extensive experience in information management, BIM, digital delivery or data management on major infrastructure, energy, engineering or construction projects, with practical application of BS EN ISO 19650.
• Proven ability to manage project information, metadata, governance, quality and digital assurance across the project lifecycle, including CDE administration and digital handover or asset information readiness.
• Advanced capability in Power BI, Excel and information assurance tools, with experience reviewing complex datasets and communicating clear insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience using digital modelling tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D or Fuzor on infrastructure projects. Experience in enterprise data platforms, systems integration, automation, GIS, SQL or Python is desirable.
