Commercial Analyst

Base Location: You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in one of the following locations Perth, Reading or Cardiff

Salary: £43,704 - £51,484 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role

The Commercial function supports Business Energy in making great decisions, backed by great numbers. The Commercial Forecasting team is responsible for ensuring that profitability is modelled accurately to inform strategic decision making. The Commercial Analyst role plays a key part in the development of commercial models in databricks that support accurate and timely forecasting and is a great opportunity for someone who wants to further develop their analytical skills in a Commercial function.

You will

• Deliver bespoke commercial and financial models and analysis utilising Databricks functionality
• Provide regular forecasting to Finance with a focus on getting the numbers right and to ensure accuracy
• Deliver collaborative data driven projects
• Provide commercial insight and challenge

You have

We're seeking an individual who is technically minded with experience of Databricks and is great at interacting with others, as we're often involved with projects and teams from across Business Energy. To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:

• Databricks experience essential
• Strong awareness of the utilities market
• Understanding of financial principals, terms and concepts
• Strong analytical skills and be a numerical problem-solver
• High standards and be diligent in checking the numbers
