Asset Analyst

Base Location: Glasgow, Perth or Reading. You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in one of these locations.

Salary: £50,964 - £60,899 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role

Are you passionate about using data to drive real-world impact? Join our Asset Analysis Team as an Asset Analyst and play a pivotal role in maximising the performance and reliability of our electricity network. You’ll lead on delivering actionable insights, shaping investment decisions, and supporting the transition to a low-carbon future.

You Will

• Deliver Network Asset Risk Metric (NARM) regulatory reporting, analysis and asset performance insights to support evidence-based asset management decisions and investment planning.
• Develop forecasts, scenario analysis and analytical models to identify asset risks, opportunities and emerging trends across the network.
• Support the development of long-term asset strategies and intervention plans that balance risk, cost, performance and customer outcomes.
• Produce and continuously improve dashboards, reporting processes and data visualisation solutions to meet business, policy and regulatory requirements.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships, communicating complex technical findings clearly to support decision-making across the business.

You Have

• A degree (Bachelors/Masters/PhD) in a STEM subject and significant experience in asset management, infrastructure or a regulated utility environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using Python, SQL and data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Knowledge of CNAIM and NARM methodologies, and how they support asset risk management, regulatory performance and investment decisions.
• Experience of enterprise asset and operational systems such as SAP, Maximo, ArcGIS or equivalent platforms, with the ability to turn complex data into actionable insight.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, coupled with a collaborative, proactive mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
