A rewarding career starts with doing something you’re passionate about. To help you decide which area of our business might light you up, we’ve explained a little more about the different types of apprenticeship and trainee programmes we currently offer - and where no qualifications are required.
You'll get to know our business and develop practical knowledge of project management techniques, tools and methodologies, with the opportunity to work on exciting projects.
This role includes installing boilers and pumps, isolating valves, and radiators, as well as undertaking maintenance work. You’ll learn how to cut, measure, and install pipe work with materials including steel, plastic, and copper.
Learn a wide variety of critical skills with this Apprenticeship. You might be involved in finding faults in our systems, checking chemical instrumentation, or ensuring our gas detection and communication systems meet our high safety standards.
There are many opportunities to develop a rewarding career within our digital and technology teams. You'll gain hands-on experience and learn how we use technology to support the business, customers and stakeholders.
Gain a solid grounding for a rewarding career with a business apprenticeship. Learn about the commercial aspects of your business area while also studying business theory, methodologies and processes.
Electrical Fitters are responsible for maintaining, testing, and repairing the electricity network’s plant and equipment. You’ll learn how to safely install and maintain high voltage switchgear, transformers, and control equipment.
Multi-Craft means multi-skilled. If you’re working within our Distribution business, you’ll learn a combination of Linesperson and Jointer duties. If you’re with our renewables business, you’ll be taught Mechanical and Electrical Engineering duties.
A Linesperson works on the overhead electricity network and pole-mounted equipment. You’ll need to be comfortable working at height and you’ll be trained to work safely with technical equipment as part of a maintenance programme.
Become a multi-skilled craftsperson and gain knowledge, experience and qualifications in two different areas. Interested in electrical and mechanical engineering? Do both. Can't decide between a linesperson and jointer apprenticeship? A multi-skilled craftsperson trainee role means you'll specialise in both.
