Technology Manager - EUS Client Compute

About the Role  

Base Location: Havant, Aberdeen, Inverness, Glasgow, Perth or Reading

Salary: £63,000 - £94,400 + car allowance + performance-related bonus and a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

As the Client Compute Technology Manager within End User Services, you will oversee the Client Compute Service, including EUS Application Portfolio, and Endpoint Management, providing leadership and technical support for IT operations and service management. This role involves maintaining core applications, developing service improvements, and managing the Client Compute Product roadmap in collaboration with senior stakeholders and external partners, requiring in-depth knowledge of EUS Technologies.

Key Responsibility

- Build and maintain a clearly understood Client Compute Product roadmap that is strategically aligned and reflects the customers' needs and captures the imagination of the business and technology.

- Responsible for defining the Client Computing services within End User Services; including Device Management, End Point Security, Application Lifecycle Management, Printing and Site & Meeting Room IT

- Effectively communicate both technical and end user business change to senior stakeholders.

- Responsible for both SSE internal and external teams to transform service and deliver backlog.

- Own the budget and financial planning for the Client Compute Services.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- A Proven track record of working in enterprise end-user computing environments and leading technical teams relating to the deployment and management of devices and applications in cloud-based / hybrid environments.

- In depth knowledge of End User hardware, Windows, MAC Operating systems, Microsoft managed desktop and Device Management.

- Understanding of Microsoft products; including Intune, Configuration Manager, Active Directory / Azure AD and related technologies for the management of corporate Windows, Android and Apple devices.

- Skilled in communicating product roadmaps, prioritising features based on business value and user impact. Ability to work with end users, architects and technical teams to evolve the client computing service to meet SSE's requirements.

- Extensive experience in Third party Management and contract negotiations.
