Technical Planner

As a Technical Planner, you'll play a key role in supporting the safe, efficient and reliable operation of Beatrice Offshore Wind Farm, one of Scotland's largest offshore renewable energy projects. Working at the heart of one of the UK's most significant operational wind farms, you'll coordinate and manage asset intervention activities that help maximise energy generation and support the transition to a low-carbon future.

Working closely with operational teams, contractors and technical specialists, you'll develop and manage maintenance plans, optimise resources, and ensure critical work is delivered safely and effectively. While your primary focus will be Beatrice, you'll also have opportunities to support other offshore wind assets across SSE Renewables' growing portfolio.

You will

• Develop and coordinate short, medium and long-term maintenance and intervention plans, working collaboratively with operational teams, contractors and technical specialists to optimise asset performance.
• Lead daily and weekly planning meetings, monitoring progress, resolving planning conflicts and ensuring the effective prioritisation and scheduling of work activities.
• Support the development of production plans, resource forecasts and budget tracking, helping ensure operational activities are delivered safely, efficiently and within approved budgets.
• Administer and continuously improve the maintenance management system (IBM Maximo), maintaining high-quality data and ensuring compliance with work control processes, safety requirements and operational procedures.
• Manage site access planning, operational restrictions and maintenance priorities, helping maintain a safe working environment whilst maximising turbine and asset availability.

You have

• Experience coordinating maintenance, engineering or asset management activities involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong working knowledge of maintenance management systems, ideally IBM Maximo, and an appreciation of the value of accurate asset and work management data.
• Understanding of controlled operational environments, safe systems of work and maintenance planning processes, ideally within energy, utilities, manufacturing, offshore or other safety-critical industries.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, with experience of planning and scheduling tools such as MS Project or Primavera P6 considered advantageous.
• Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively, influence decisions and drive continuous improvement.
