Base Location: Aldershot, Basingstoke, New Forest or Salisbury

Salary: £39,415 - £50,611 depending on authorisations and skills and experience + car / cash allowance + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

We are looking for a Technical Delivery Engineer (Large Connections) to join our team! 

Our SSEN Distribution Commercial and Connections teams are the first point of contact for customers wishing to have a new electricity connection, increase the size of their existing connection, install generation, or move the equipment supplying their property.

Roles & responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- As part of this role you will be out on site, checking works and ensuring compliance and working with our framework partner to ensure quality, right first-time installation.

- You will be traveling across sites along the South Coast working with our project management team and design teams. You will be critical to ensure operational safety on site and drive quality of works.

- You will use your engineering knowledge to guide and direct our framework partner and project managers to solutions.

- You will be keen to solve problems and provide great customer service.

What do I need?

For this role you will either have electrical authorisations, an electrical engineering background and/or knowledge of the network distribution system. A strong knowledge of the operational network at LV/HV/EHV is highly advantageous.

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- An ability and knowledge to engage at all levels and instil a high performing culture including managing 3rd party contractors.

- Proven ability to improve operational ways of working and procedures.

- Sound business and technical knowledge of electricity distribution or similar market sector.

- Awareness of key stakeholders and customers for electricity distribution.

- A passion for safety and the ability to work well in a team as well as independently.

It is an essential requirement for this role that you have a full, current driving licence.
