Build the Network for Net Zero
We’re growing at pace — and we’re looking for talented site leaders who want to play a hands‑on role in delivering some of the most significant energy infrastructure projects in the UK.
As part of SSEN Transmission, you’ll join teams delivering major overhead line, substation, cable and civil works that will strengthen Scotland’s energy network and help accelerate the transition to Net Zero.
These are high‑impact, visible roles where you’ll be central to safe, efficient construction on some of the most ambitious projects in the sector.
The Roles
We are recruiting Site Construction Managers and Site Supervisors to support the safe and efficient delivery of major transmission construction projects across the north of Scotland. Acting as key representatives of SSEN Transmission on-site, you will help deliver overhead lines, substations, cables and associated civil works critical to a Network for Net Zero.
You Will
• Represent SSEN Transmission on-site, acting as a key point of contact for contractors and stakeholders.
• Ensure all works comply with CDM, SSEN safety standards and statutory requirements.
• Monitor site progress, safety and quality performance, maintaining accurate documentation.
• Support or lead the delivery of overhead lines, substations, cable routes and civil engineering works.
• Build strong working relationships, promoting a positive, safe and collaborative site culture.
You Have
• Strong engineering or construction knowledge, including CDM and site safety principles.
• Experience supervising or managing complex construction or utility projects.
• Understanding of project planning, inspection and test plans, and quality monitoring.
• Good communication skills and confidence representing the project internally and externally.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and the ability to maintain well‑structured site records.
The role requires a full current driving licence due to the requirement to travel to and be on site.
Why Now?
This is a rare chance to join at a critical moment of growth, where your skills can influence major infrastructure, shape site culture, and make a measurable impact on the energy transition.
