The role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Investment Associate to join the SSE Pacifico K.K. (“SSEP”) Finance Team, based in Tokyo.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will play a pivotal role in the development and the running of complex financial models and scenario analysis, to drive financial and commercial decisions for offshore wind energy projects in Japan.
Your responsibilities will include:
You will work closely with the wider SSEP team, including Project Development, Procurement, Engineering and Energy Markets, in order to optimise the business case. This will involve working on a variety of value drivers across the project to manage risk, reduce cost and maximise financial return.
You will also work closely with the SSE Corporate Finance team (based in Europe) up to investment decision, ensuring alignment on the business case and supporting the investment governance processes.

In addition to the above you will be a good communicator, professional and diligent, with the ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure, without compromising on the quality of your work. You will be flexible, pro-active, know how to manage expectations and be able to adapt to changing business needs.
