The role

The DevOps Engineer is a fast-paced role where you’ll be responsible for managing a high volume of SQL queries, supporting operational systems, and driving improvements through root cause analysis. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business, using your communication skills and technical insight to deliver real value.
As DevOps Engineer, you are responsible for developing and maintaining applications and infrastructure, which enable fast development and deployment of software. You'll perform a combination of technical support and IT operations to ensure that core applications and products are continuously maintained, improved, and developed to meet business requirements.
You will
Have 'development level' involvement throughout the full software development life cycle. This includes participating in all stages of the software development life cycle, including planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
Investigate and resolve technical issues, identifying root causes and driving long-term fixes.
Use available tools and scripting (e.g. bash) to automate and improve processes.
Support Oracle database operations and contribute to system stability and performance.
You have
Extensive experience in DevOps, with a strong background in developing and supporting cloud-based technologies, primary focus in Azure, but also valuing experience with AWS or GCP.
Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
Familiarity with Oracle DB architecture and operations.
Proficient in tooling and scripting languages like bash, R, Scala, and Python. Strong experience in DevOps on AWS/Azure and data management, including data profiling and handling large volumes of data.
