The Role

As a Senior Microsoft 365 Engineer, you’ll be a technical expert at the heart of our Digital Workplace, supporting 20,000 colleagues. Reporting into the Collaboration, Communication & Productivity Product Owner, you’ll ensure Microsoft 365 services are secure, well-governed, and delivering real value. A key focus will be Microsoft Copilot, where you’ll lead technical governance, adoption, and optimisation. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex challenges, influencing how AI and collaboration tools are used, and ensuring our platforms run smoothly every day.

You Will

  • Act as a subject matter expert for Microsoft 365, including Co-pilot, staying current with features, updates, and best practices.
  • Design and implement robust governance and security policies across Microsoft 365 services, including Co-pilot, Teams, Loop, Planner, and Outlook.
  • Manage the evergreen roadmap for your product suite, assessing new features and planning controlled rollouts from proof of concept to enterprise deployment.
  • Support adoption by providing technical expertise, feature insights, and real-world use cases for training and communities of practice.
  • Provide expert technical support and guidance to IT teams and business units, troubleshooting complex issues and advising on platform capabilities.

You Have

  • Proven hands-on experience as an engineer or administrator for Microsoft 365 platforms, including Teams and Copilot.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 governance and security, including access management, compliance, and GDPR.
  • Experience managing evergreen features and updates at scale in a medium/large organisation, with the ability to assess and roll out new features to drive business value.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical detail into business value and explain it to non-technical audiences.
  • A passion for technology and a commitment to continuous learning, particularly in AI and productivity tools.
