Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time
As a SCADA Development Engineer based within our Perth Control Room, you'll be responsible for the full lifecycle of our Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems. This is a dynamic and essential role where you'll design, configure, and implement control systems for the electricity network.
You will
Ensure provision of first line support for development, preparation, testing, commissioning, maintenance and upgrade of Transmission Control Centre SCADA displays and controls, enabling delivery of a safe and reliable interface for 24/7 Transmission system operations and safety.
Conduct integration of operational data and signalling from the Transmission asset base into the control centre systems and onwards to the GB System Operator to meet our Transmission License, Grid Code and STC obligations.
Use and maintain the security of the Data Historian System called PI.
Provide provision of TCC Systems technical guidance to TCC Control Room and Transmission Field Unit Engineers.
You have
Previous technical experience in a role involving electrical, mechanical or hydraulic systems and SCADA would be an advantage.
Knowledge and understanding of the Transmission network, paired with the foresight to be able to technically design new displays for safe operation by Transmission Control Room.
The ability to be able to communicate to a wide audience - internal and external Project Managers, Project Engineers, National Grid and external contractors.
Possess or be working towards a recognised Engineering qualification.
Proficiency in the use Microsoft Office applications.
