Base Location: For this role, we require successful applicants to be based from one of our Scottish locations and you'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in the office – Dundee or Perth

Salary: £38,966- £45,905 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Resilience Surveyor to join our in-house vegetation management team.

You will

- You will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of utility arboricultural surveying as part of our tree cutting programme.

- Inspection of networks to identify where vegetation poses a risk to the compliance of the networks and prescribe the safest and most efficient  work method to deal with the risk.

- Negotiate with landowners, statutory bodies and stakeholders to obtain relevant consents to allow tree cutting work to proceed.

- Responsible to produce work packs and associated documents for issues to both internal and external tree cutting teams to allow them to complete the work in a safe and efficient manner.

- Involved with contractor liaison and quality inspections to ensure work is completed as planned in a safe and efficient manner to a high standard.

You have

- Experience in utility arboricultural industry with sound knowledge of relevant legislation and a good understanding and knowledge of the Transmission and Distribution networks

- Hold the NPTC UA5 Utility Arboricultural Surveyor - Practises and Principles qualifications

- Good knowledge and understanding of the Energy Networks Association Engineering Technical Specification 43-8 and previous experience in working with, supervising or managing contractors

- You will have strong interpersonal and communications skills coupled with the ability to influence others at all levels both internally and externally.

**Please note - It is an essential requirement for this role that you have a full, current driving licence due to the rural nature of the role and you will have to work away from home occasionally, so this is key***
